LEt ME BREAK IT DOWN👇🏻

1. Your Blog shows your credibility as a Health & fitness professional

As a professional in your field – when you write interesting and useful Blog posts - it can show you as an expert. The content you write on your blog will increasingly help you to establish yourself as a credible leader in your field and your niche. Using Instagram is no longer enough!!

2. Your Blog helps drive traffic to your website

Your Blog helps massively in the ‘Search Engine Optimisation of your website (it can help to drive and navigate people to your website).

Search engines such as Google and Pinterest pick up on new content & ‘keywords’ associated with your Website & Blog. When your ‘keywords’ and your audience’s search criteria match - Google/Pinterest will suggest your Blog to your audience in their search results. The more ‘juicy’ content you add to your Blog - the more likely search engines will suggest your Blog & Website pages to people who are searching for various tips, answers, advice, etc.

It’s essential that the right ‘Keywords’ are used throughout your blog content and website. For example; if you are a local business - it’s essential that the majority of your keywords must be location-based.

‘Leeds yoga instructor’, ‘Nottingham personal training gym’, ‘Lincoln body transformation coach’.

TIP: In addition to this - if you have a YouTube following - having a Blog is an amazing way to drive traffic there also!

3. Your Blog drives your audience to your social media - and vice versa

Your Blog acts as a link between your social media accounts and your Website. A part of your audience may not follow you, but if your Social links are at the end of your Blog - you’re able to drive your audience to your Instagram from there. And in reverse - you can also drive people to read your Blog directly from Instagram - similarly to how you’ve just landed on my Blog!

4. You can make your Blog whatever you want it to be

Sky’s the limit! Your Blog can be anything you want - it’s a place where you are able to inform, teach, advise and offer your insight into the ‘categories’ of your choice.

Your blog can ‘build’ on the content you provide on social media. It takes your audience one step further and gives you the opportunity to explain your topic on an actual web page.

You don’t have to focus predominantly on articles. You can have a library of free videos - styled as ‘Exercise Execution’, or a set of gallery pages where you can give step-by-step instructions on performing an exercise or cooking a meal.

5. Your Blog gives you a chance to give another ‘Call to action’ to your audience

The best thing about a Blog is that you have the extra opportunity to give your audience a call to action. This means filling out a form or driving them towards your products and services.

BLOGGING BEST PRACTICES☝🏻

✔️ Use social media to support your blog and drive traffic to it. Announce it to your email list/newsletter, create a Facebook post and get your friends to share your post too!

✔️ Write Blog posts that are helpful to your readers (I hope this blog post is helpful!!)

✔️ Focus on your niche and market to your specific audience by using relevant ‘Keywords and Categories’. These work similar to hashtags and can be any word or phrase associated with your content.

✔️ Connect your blog to Pinterest and use it to send people to your Blog posts (and turn that into a profit by offering them your products and services at the end of your Blog page.) More on Pinterest later.

✔️ My Holy Grail Secret: to get your Blog seen by more people and get more traffic to your website you should add additional content to your Blog over time.

✔️Use Google Analytics to analyse what content is currently performing best. Based on your findings, you need to go back into your Blog and build on your current content, using words & criteria, which you know has performed in the past. Add new keywords, phrases and useful content to ‘bulk up’ the existing content, which can rank your website higher over time.

This is a very useful technique to get your Blog and your website ranked higher!!!
